Game: SCF worksFansite: The hand of FateWalkthrough by Kashmeria [Copied and pasted from GameFAQ's]This is a walkthrough for an Indy game created called Exit Fate which is very similar to Suikoden 1 & 2 in style. It can be downloaded at www.scfworks.com/ef.phpThis is my first time creating a walkthrough, so please don't expect it to be anything groundbreaking. I have tried my best to keep this spoiler free, but sometimes it was impossible because of how the enemies and bosses appear. Throughout the walkthrough you will notice that I make a change when listing the stats of bosses. Originally I listed what I figured were the most important stats but later decided against this and added all of them. At this point in time the bosses should not be too difficult so if you wish to know their stats, bring Col with you and Scan them. Also, since the formats I had used to help organize the walkthrough won't work here, if you need to find something quickly, use the ctrl+F feature. Please don't post until I give the OK. The faq will be quite a few posts. With that said, here's the walkthrough. St. Reinard Castle There really isn’t much to do here. There is a Tool shop to sharpen your weapon to Level 1. If you head right from the starting spot, you’ll eventually run into it. If you just want to move ahead with the story, move left from the starting spot and keep heading left through the doors, changing floors one time. There will be a scene eventually. After this your next task is to go to the meeting room. You should be able to find it on your own. Just wander around until you find it. After a few scenes you will be at a dungeon. Bandit Cave Enemies: Bat Bandits You first gain experience with the battle system here. Angle and Jovian will be in your party. I suggest that you level up to at least level 4 before reaching the boss as it will be difficult to win at a lower level if you’re not used to the battle system. There are three chests in this cave. One of them is through the first east exit you run across. The other two are through a north exit along the way to the boss. After defeating the boss you’ll be back at the castle. Head to the Meeting Room or sharpen your weapon if you haven’t already. There will be a series of scenes once you go to the Meeting Room and you will end up in your first War Battle. War Battle 1 This is a pretty easy battle. I won’t go into details about the battle as it should be pretty easy to understand the basics. You move and you attack. It’s that simple. You are supposed to move onto the town, I believe, but it will probably be easier just to kill all of the enemies. I’m not sure if anything changes if you DO move onto the town. You will receive the Lightning spell (Thunder damage to adjacent spaces) as a reward. After a series of scenes, you lose Angel and Jovian and gain the elf-boy Fitch. You will be in the town of Alfheim. Your task is to head into the northern building to talk to the Elder to advance the game. Stromgaard can be found here, but you can’t recruit him just yet. You can visit the shops available at this time if you want, however. They are listed below. Alfheim Town Item shop: Iron Bracer 55 (+1 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (heals 100 HP) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Blacksmith: Sharpen to level 2 Armor shop: Leather Jacket 32 (+3 PDF, 1 WGT) Leather Hat 15 (+1 PDF, 1 WGT) Leather Boots 15 (+1 PDF, 1 WGT) Magic Shop: Mend 100 (Heals one ally) Lightray 80 (Light damage to one enemy) Spark 80 (Fire damage to all enemies) Splash 80 (Water damage to a row) After talking with the elder, your task is to head north; but why not take in the sights first? Exit the town through the south and enter the world map. World Map Enemies: Killer Hornet Spider Puddle I suggest moving Fitch to the back row as he’s a long range attacker. If you head south along the water, you’ll find Bayside Town first. You could also go to Harlinton to the West, however you will be coming here very soon so you should probably wait. Bayside Town Item Shop: Leather Boots 15 (+1 PDF, 1 WGT) White Glasses 55 (+1 ACC) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Magic Shop: Mend 100 (Heals one ally) Shadowcast 80 (Dark damage spread to over all enemies) There is not much to this town at this point in time. You can receive the Talk Muscleheal spell(Cures Enfeeble) in the Item/Magic shop, but other than that there’s nothing to do here. You can find Dog in the southern part of town, Sally in the Tavern, and Petra in the INN; however, none of them can be recruited at this time. Go ahead and head north to the next place once you’re down equipping yourself how you like. You won’t be here very long as during the scene that takes place, you are made to flee back to Alfheim. Talk with the elder and you’ll be sent to Harlinton (told ya it wouldn’t be too long.) Harlinton Item Shop: White Bandana 55 (+1 SKL) White Glasses 55 (+1 ACC) Iron Orb 55 (+1 MDF) Iron Bracer 55 (+1 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Blacksmith: Sharpen to level 2 Armor Shop: Leather Jacket 32 (+3 PDF, 1 WGT) Iron Helmet 20 (+2 PDF, +2 WGT) Leather Hat 15 (+1 PDF, 1 WGT) Leather Boots 15 (+1 PDF, 1 WGT) Magic Shop: Lightray 80 (Light damage to one enemy) Icicle 80 (Ice damage to a column) Lightning 80 (Thunder damage to adjacent spaces) You’ll be told to find an officer so that you can see the governor. He’s actually right outside the governor’s house at the northwest side of the town. Afterwards head to the gate and a short scene will take place. Your task now is to find a way out of the town. Head north, but don’t take the path to the governor’s house. Another scene will take place where Fitch will tell you to climb over the wall. Enter that house next to the wall (It’s the magic shop) and go upstairs and out the side door. Afterwards you’ll be on the other side of the wall. Enemies: Kirgard 4th Kirgard Sergeant Head south. Along the way you’ll find a chest to the east. Take the only path south and then east. When there is a fork, keep going east for two chest then go back to the fork and take it path south. The west path is just a circle so go east instead. You’ll be back on the world map. Head to Alfheim. Rest at the INN like Fitch tells you to and then go see the elder. After a scene, you decide to go to Bayside. You are joined by Ljusalf. Leave the town and head to Bayside. Once at Bayside head towards the boats in the southeast. You’ll be told to go find the young girl in the tavern. Talk to Sally and she’ll agree to give you a ride to the mainland for a fee of course. Before you go meet Sally, head back to Alfheim. You can now recruit Stromgaard. Make sure you have Sally’s money plus enough to rest at an INN (75 ans is the total cost). After paying Sally, a scene will play out and you’ll be on the mainland. Blackwater Town Item shop: White Cape 55 (+1 DEX) Iron Orb 55 (+1 MDF) Iron Bracer 55 (+1 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Griever can be found near the docks but can’t be recruited yet. Find Meiko in town and talk to her. You won’t be able to recruit her now, but you will probably need to talk to her now for her recruitment later on. Talk to Cat in one of the houses and it’ll run away (for recruitment later). There is also a battery (thunder damage to adjacent squares) in this house. Rest at the INN to advance the story. You’ll meet Ayara, one of your old soldiers, and she explains to you what really happened. The next morning you decide to head south and Ayara joins your group. World Map Enemies: Gray Wolf Green Viper Goblin To the south is Mayfall City; to the west a bridge you can cross. Southwest of the bridge is Amen Corner. There is nothing to do at Amen Corner, (especially since everything you can by there, you can buy at Mayfall,) right now so head to Mayfall City. Mayfall City Item Shop: White Bandana 55 (+1 SKL) White Glasses 55 (+1 ACC) Woolen Scarf 55 (+1 SPD) Copper Ring 55 (+1 MAG) Iron Orb 55 (+1 MDF) Iron Bracer 55 (+1 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble) Blackshop: Sharpen weapons to Level 3 Armor Shop: Leather Jacket 32 (+3 PDF, 1 WGT) Iron Helmet 20 (+2 PDF, +2 WGT) Leather Hat 15 (+1 PDF, 1 WGT) Leather Boots 15 (+1 PDF, 1 WGT) Magic Shop: Mend 100 (Heals one ally) Lightray 80 (Light damage to one enemy) Shadowcast 80 (Dark damage spread to over all enemies) Spark 80 (Fire damage to all enemies) Icicle 80 (Ice damage to a column) Splash 80 (Water damage to a row) Lightning 80 (Thunder damage to adjacent spaces) Once here check out the shops if you want. Wilona can be found in a house She rates your total magic, but you are nowhere near enough to the magic number she’s looking for. Outsider and Mike can be found in the Tavern. Speaking of the Tavern, there is a guy there selling an item for 500 ans. You’ll need this later to recruit Myst, but save your money for now. Head to the Headquarters at the center of town. Merrick is in the right door, but ignore him for now. There’s a chest in the back of this room. Talk to the commander of these guys to advance the story. Col joins you and now it’s time to head to Amen Corner. Amen Corner Item Shop: Iron Orb 55 (+1 MDF) Iron Bracer 55 (+1 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble) Go through the Corner and at the border guard you meet Joe, who just happens to steal your money and your letter. Time to go find that creep. Chase him around for a while and then you’ll split up. Head into the tavern to corner him. Once you have your stuff back, head into the forest. Mayfall Forest Enemies: Golbin Lizardman Gray Wolf Orc At the fork go south for a Feather Hat. Then take the north path. At the next fork, go west as the two eventually connect but west has two chests beforehand. Get the two chests and head south until you must go west on the next screen. Once you reach the save crystal, head south as the north entrance leads to a locked building. Follow the path until a scene and then backtrack to the save point. Take the north path towards the locked building. It looks like Col didn’t lose the bet after all. Boss Fight Mist Monster Level 12 HP 500 Element Thunder A pretty easy boss if you’re properly leveled and equipped. It’s Mist attack deals damage to everybody. It can also cast Enfeeble on a character. Other than that there’s nothing to this boss. You receive another Lightning Spell and 250 ans for defeating the boss. Keep what Ljusalf said in mind about returning here and then head back down the path towards the exit. Madrigal Item Shop: White Cape 55 (+1 DEX) White Glasses 55 (+1 ACC) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble) There is nothing to do in this town right now, so just head through the exit at the west. You can find Cid in the INN, but you can’t recruit him yet. World Map Enemies: Matrian Wolf Grey Wolf Goblin Orc Wandering Mage There are six new places on the world map that you can head to. Credence and Credence castle are in the far north. In the south is Myst’s house and Oischin Forest. In the far west is Western Pass In the middle is your main destination of Matrech. However, head south and enter Myst’s house, which you can see from the starting spot; this isn’t the spot resting against the gate. In here you’ll find Myst. You’ll need to visit him three or four times during your travels and watch his experiments in order to recruit him later. Next, you might want to visit Credence in the far north as there are some new armors available. Credence Item Shop Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble) Armor Shop: Quilted Coat 160 (+4 PDF, 2 WGT) Blue Robe95 (+2 PDF, +1 MDF, 1 WGT) Feathered Hat 75 (+2 PDF, 1 WGT) Hide Belt 55 (+5 HP)

Magic Shop: Mend 100 (Heals one ally) Lightray 80 (Light damage to one enemy) Shadowcast 80 (Dark damage spread to over all enemies) Spark 80 (Fire damage to all enemies) Icicle 80 (Ice damage to a column) Splash 80 (Water damage to a row) Lightning 80 (Thunder damage to adjacent spaces)
Tiffany and Teej can be found in the INN but they can’t be recruited now. Shop if you feel like it otherwise there’s nothing else to do here. Since both border gates and Credence Castle have nothing to do either, head to your next destination.
Matrech Item Shop: Hide Belt 55 (+5 HP) White Bandana 55 (+1 SKL) White Glasses 55 (+1 ACC) Woolen Scarf 55 (+1 SPD) Copper Badge 55 (+1 STR) Copper Ring 55 (+1 MAG) Iron Orb 55 (+1 MDF) Iron Bracer 55 (+1 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
Blacksmith: Sharpen weapons to Level 4
Magic Shop: Neutralize 250(Cures Poison) Memorial 250 (Cures Amnesia) Vigour 250 (Cures Slow) Clearsight 250 (Cures Blind) Muscleheal 250 (Cures Enfeeble) Noise 250 (Cures Silence)
The entire party splits up for now and Col tells you to meet up with him at the INN later. Go ahead and check out the shops here if you want. You might want to save your money, though as there are two characters you can recruit soon that cost a total of 1900 ans. There are some new spells, but they are kind of expensive and all cure status effects. There is Cat in the Item shop. Talk to it and it’ll run away. Francesca can be found in the building next to the Item Shop but you can’t recruit her yet. After you are done looking around, head to the INN and choose to wait.
The next morning you are told to go to see the Chancellor. Head north, into the building, and keep heading north until you come to two soldiers blocking the door. Head west and then when you have control again, talk to all of your party members. Then talk to Col again. Watch the scenes that play out. Hurrah! You have your own army now and it’s time to go recruiting.
First thing to do is go visit Myst once again to trigger another scene. Now is the time to build up your money to 1900 ans, but you can do other things in the meantime. Return to Madrigal and speak with Cid. When you try to recruit him, he mentions that he has lost pieces of his music. You can find these by talking to the Innkeeper at Blackwater Town. Head back in that direction, but we’ll be taking care of some things on the way.
Once you reach Amen Corner, find Joe. He’ll ask to borrow Col for a moment. You’ll only have Col and Joe at this point.
Deke’s Mansion Enemies: Wood Soldier Surprise Box
You can’t go west so head south. Inside the room in the middle is a treasure chest, but you have to defeat a pair of Surprise Boxes to get the item. Keep following the path. Eventually you’ll run into Zeke and it’s time to backtrack to where you came in from. Once you escape, Joe joins your army. Note: Joe has the special Steal, which enables you to steal items from enemies. Goblin Helms (+2 PDF, +1 STR, 1 WGT) can be stolen from Goblins if you’re interested in a new helmet.
Back in Mayfall City you can hire Mike for 400 ans and Outsider for 1500 ans. There is also Cat in the training area where you talked to the officer earlier. Talk to Cat and it’ll run away.
Once you are at Blackwater, talk to the Innkeeper to get the sheet music and go return it to Cid to recruit him. Afterwards, head back to Matrech. With Outsider in your party, go speak with Francesca to recruit her.
Now return the building you met the Chancellor and you’ll run into Vosch. Afterwards head to Erin’s room to be assigned a mission. Ayara and Ljusalf are required members of the party. You could always put them in your convoy if you don’t want to use them though. Pick the rest of your party and head out to Western Pass.
Western Pass Enemies: Mud Golem Hermit Hill Orc Orc Matrian Wolf
You’ll meet Jasper right away and he’ll join your party so you may have to remove someone from your group if you packed yourself completely full. Head west through the gate. Right away you’ll find a chest with Shadowcast spell (Dark damage spread to over all enemies). The path is pretty straightforward. If you bring Joe, you can Steal Steel Bracers (+2 PDF) from the Hill Orcs to replace any Iron Bracers you have equipped. They also drop Bronze Badges to replace Copper Badges. You can also steal Brown Clay from the Hermits. You should probably pick this up as it is needed to recruit Myst.
After the short scene there will be another save crystal. Shortly after that there is a fork. Head north to get two chests and then take the west path.
War Battle 2
You actually get to set up your units for this battle. There will be 3 units that you control. You can change your unit types and you can add any of your party members (even ones that weren’t with you) into the units. Make whatever changes you wish.
Strive to get a Rank A as it makes recruiting Paris easier. It may take a few tries as the AI is stupid at times.
After you have won, there will be a couple of scenes and Jasper will leave you. You’re task is to return back to the Capital and talk with Erin. She sends you on a quest to recruit a certain mage. It’s time to head back to Sally in Blackwater to ask her for a boat ride. Don’t forget to update Meiko about your war stories.
When you reach the place Sally is normally at, you’ll find out that she’s not there. A fisherman tells you that she’s in trouble and you decide to go help her.
Treasure Island Enemies: Yellow Pudding Maneater Mantis Forest Spirit
When you arrive on the island, head north. You can steal a Balance (cures Chaos) from the Yellow Pudding. At the first fork, head west and when you reach the save point, head south for a chest. Head back to the save point and head west again. On the next screen, cross around the wall and head south for two more chests. Head north for another chest and follow the path until a scene. Hey, it’s your good old buddy Bruce. Let’s go say hi to him.
Boss Fight Bruce Kirgard 2nd x4
Bruce can cast Fire Storm for a fairly good amount of damage and also cause blind. Fire Strike hits a column for good damage also. Bruce is obviously a threat, but take down the guards first with group spells if you have them. If you are not prepared, you’ll be slaughtered. I’m not sure if it was just coincidence or not, but I didn’t defeat Bruce until Daniel was the only character left alive.
Sally joins your army after Bruce flees and you receive the treasure. Since this took a while, Daniel suggests heading back to Erin before continuing. It doesn’t change anything if you decide to recruit the mage now, though so you might as well do so. If you talk with Sally, she can take you back to Treasure Island, Midian’s Island or back to Matrech. Choosing to go to Matrech actually drops you off next to Credence castle.
On Midian’s island, head up to the house. Push the wooden crate down next to the bookshelf and then climb on top of it so that you can get the treasure chest down. After a talk with Midian, he’ll join your army. Head back to Matrech but visit Myst before seeing Erin for another experiment.
Erin will tell you that you have another meeting with the chancellor so go to the INN and rest again. The next morning head to Erin’s office. Your task after the meeting is to go see the Deacon in Credence to get the keys for Credence Castle. You’ll see a priest who goes by when you enter Credence and the Deacon says that he gave the keys to that priest. Thus you must follow the priest to the castle.
Credence Castle Vampire Bat Spectral Mage Zombie Dead Knight
After the lengthy scene, enter the castle and head north to find the priest. Luther, the priest joins your party and you can now enter your soon-to-be castle. The enemies here are rather tough, so spend some time leveling up if you’re finding yourself struggling. Head east in the first room for a chest and then head west. Follow the straight forward path until you come to a set of stairs going up and a set going down. Head down the stairs for two chests and then head up the stairs. Head through the west door for another two chests and then head up the stairs and you’ll be in a room with 5 doors that bring you back to the same room. Starting from the west door, go through each door; and once on the east door, go in reverse order (don’t repeat the door farthest to the east). You’ll soon be in a different room. Head north and go through the door after getting the chest.
There will be a scene and it’s time for another boss fight! ....Or not. Luther leaves your party and some more scenes play out. Royston joins your army now. You now control the castle!
You wake up and Ljusalf joins you and tells you to head to the Meeting Room. Explore the Castle and get yourself acquainted with where everything is. When you enter the Meeting Room, Carson officially joins you now. Your next mission is to go to Highland via Western Pass. You run into a man on the way out of the castle. Yan Angwa joins your army. Go visit Myst first again. Head through Western Pass and you’ll end up in Highland.
World Map Enemies: Minotaur Hill Orc Ogre
To the far North is the city of Ansee; Bergstadt in the southwest, and Grunthall to the northwest. You can steal Hard Boots from Ogres, but watch out as they are slightly more difficult than the other enemies. Head to Grunthall first.
Grunthall Item shop: Steel Orb 750 (+2 MDF) Steel Bracer 750 (+2 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
In the northern part of town there’s the opening to what looks like a mine. This is the Highland Mine. You’ll come back here later. Also there is Mt. Bosch in the northwest part of town. You’ll come here later as well.
Bartolli is the item shop owner and he complains about a shipment not being in. Go to Ansee now.
Ansee Item Shop: Stone Armlet 800 (+1 MP Regen) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
If she’s not in your party, you can find Sally by the large boats. She can give you a ride back to your castle if you want. Mai and Johnny can be found here, but they can’t be recruited yet. You can find a inside one of the houses.
Enter the building in the northwest and take the Splash spell (water damage to a row) from the chest. Head out the door in the south and wake up the sleeping dock worker. Get the Supplies from him and return to Grunthall. Talk to Bartolli and he will join your army. Afterwards head to Bergstadt.
Bergstadt
Right as you enter, you’ll be met by a Highland Soldier. Your party splits up as the scenes continue. Once you’ve gain control again, head towards the door and wait for another scene (you may have to speak with some of your party members to trigger the scene.)
Highland Mines Enemies: Highlanders Guard Tiger Highland Scout
Item Shop: Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
Once you are in control again, head north and keep heading north for 2 chests. Head back and then east. When the path branches, go east and north. The other paths are dead-ends. Up here, go up to the door and investigate it. Now go east and take the bottom path for two chests. Next take the upper path and check out the big hole in the wall. Choose to go through it. Down here there are shafts on either side. Go down the west shaft as the east one is a loop, and go north.
You’ll come into a room with prisoners and an item shop. Go through the shaft and you’ll be in a room with 5 shafts. Go through the one furthest to the left, the one second from the right, and then the one furthest to the right. Pick up the two chests during this. Head west and hit the switch on the wall. This opens up the doors that you could have run into along the way. Head east and north through the opening. Now head west to a save point. If you head south, you can return to the item shop. Go north and there will be a scene.
Boss Fight Joshua Level 25 HP 1000 Steal Waterfall Drop Green Bandana
Joshua is pretty strong physically (many of his attacks are named) and can also use the Waterfall spell on you for pretty good damage as well. Give him all you’ve got and he’ll eventually fall. If you fail like I did the first time, level up some and then try again. When you win, you earn the Green Bandana and 1000 ans.
After the scene, follow the path and you’ll be back in Grunthall. Leave the city and go back to Bergstadt.
Bergstadt Magic Shop: Mend-All (Heals all allies) Neutralize 250(Cures Poison) Memorial 250 (Cures Amnesia) Vigour 250 (Cures Slow) Clearsight 250 (Cures Blind) Muscleheal 250 (Cures Enfeeble) Noise 250 (Cures Silence) Mend 100 (Heals one ally)
Weapon Shop: Sharpen your weapons to level 6.
Armor Shop: Grey Robe 825 (+4 PDF, +2 MDF, 2 WGT) Fine Chainmail 1000 (+8 PDF, 4 WGT) Studded Leather 850 (+5 PDF, 2 WGT) Plumed Helmet 700 (+5 PDF, 2 WGT) Light Helm 530 (+3 PDF, 1 WGT) Hard Boots 550 (+2 PDF, 1 WGT)
Remember, you can steal Hard Boots from Ogres. You can find Paris in town. If you got a Rank A back in the last war battle, you can recruit him now. Otherwise you need a certain other character to recruit him later. In one of the houses, you’ll find a man who doesn’t know his own name. This is actually Nikolai, but he can’t be recruited yet. Once you have finished looking around town, head to the Governor’s House in the northeast part of town.
After the scene here, Jasper is in your party and it’s time to head back to your castle and prepare for war. Take a look in the west door of the Governor’s House to find Cat again. If you have found Cat all four times mentioned in this guide, when you return to your castle, you’ll see the cat at the entrance of your castle. Talk to the cat and Klaus will join your army. Note that at this point in time you can’t go through Madrigal nor can you sail to Blackwater. Head to the Meeting Room to advance the story.
After the scene, head to your room. Hey, what’s that shadow on our bookshelf? Let’s go take a look and see. Then next morning... hey, didn’t Daniel say to have someone guard the door from now on? Where’s that guard!? Head back to the Meeting Room and talk to Carson. Arrange your units and go to war.
Okay, maybe not. It looks like there is a problem and Daniel decides to have a small force to go find out what’s up. Pick your party and continue onward. You meet Trevor and Sick of Kirgard in the town.
Boss Fight Trevor Level 24 HP 600 Steal: Black Kirgard Plate
Sick Level 23 HP 500 Steal: Mend-All
Don’t be fooled by these guys. They can be tough if you aren’t prepared. Trevor will probably hit Daniel hard with his Dark Slash attack, so you might want to take him out first. Once he’s gone, the fight is pretty easy. You’ll earn a Shadowcast and a Lightray plus 1200 ans for defeating them.
NOW it’s time for war.
War Battle 3 This war cannot be won. After a couple of rounds/amount of damage is dealt, the battle will end automatically. You’ll be lucky if you can even wound some of their troops.
After the war battle, you’ll be back at your castle with the mission to go to the capital. Once in the capital, go see Erin. Your mission is to head to Mt. Bosch in Grunthall, but let’s take a side trip first. Head to Madrigal with Ljusalf in your party and enter the forest. Head to where you fought the Mist Monster to find Richard in front of the locked door. Talk to him and then talk to him once you are inside to start a quest. Richard joins your party here.
Mist Maze Enemies: Proto-Mist Mist Monster
Go out through the back door and head north to the next screen. There are a few chests in this area, so try and find them all. The only path out of this large area is to the east. From this path, it’s pretty straight forward. You’ll reach a fog covered area where Richmond places a beacon so that you don’t get lost.
Go north and press against the east wall until you can move over to the chest that you can see. Go northeast for another chest. From there, head back towards the first chest but about halfway down, you can head straight east and then north for another chest. There is a chest to the north of the first chest you got. You’ll end up going around the chest via the west to get to it so head back to the start of the room and go straight north and then west to get it. Head to the save point you can see, and then go through the path north of it to the next screen for a scene.
Boss Fight Mist Queen Level 34 HP 1200 STR 75 MAG51 PDF 49 MDF 71 SPD 67 ACC 57 DEX 57 Steal: Gold Dust
This boss is pretty hard. She’s fast, has high MDF and dodges quick often. She completely destroyed me my first few times fighting her. If this happens to you, I suggest leveling up more; sharpening your weapons; getting better equipment; stock up on and use Splash spells; or maybe even coming back later in the game. Once you beat her, you get a Thunderbolt spell and 2200 ans.
What the scene that plays out and Richard and Naja join your army. Now it’s time to go to Mt. Bosch.
Mt. Bosch Enemies: Wild Barbarian Ogre Minotaur

Head north once you are in the mountains. This place will be a cakewalk if you did the quest with Richard. Steal a Leather Belt(+10 HP) from the Wild Barbarians as you will need this to recruit Myst. Plus these can replace any Hide Belts you have equipped. At the first fork, head through the bottom path and you’ll be at your destination. After the scene, it’s time to head back to the Capital and find Erin, but let’s search the mountain first.
Take the top path at the fork and follow it to another fork. Take the path east and you’ll find Nomad. When you talk to him, he mentions Avalon. Choose the second option and he’ll mention a key. Leave him for now and take the path north. There will be a chest here and.... guess what! That’s all that’s on the mountain. It’s time to head back.
Head to Erin’s office and talk with her. After the scene, go to your room and talk to Ayara. Does Ayara leave or does she spend the night with Daniel? That’s up to you to decide. Anyways, the next morning, head back to Meeting Room. You are given a mission, so pick your party and talk to Bast to start the mission.
You immediately get forced into a battle, but it’s not hard at all. There will be a quite a few of these here. Clear out the town of the soldiers and then go to Shiro’s house. Head down into the basement.
Shiro’s Basement Enemies: Sentient Relic
During the scene, Daniel messes up and throws you into a battle. After the battle, you have to find the correct pattern to unlock the door. Just flip all of the switches so that the switches are actually opposite the torches. The door will open. Go through the puzzles, they shouldn’t be that difficult. When you get to the room with the Save Point, the 4 digit code is 1254; or the year that the vault was made minus the age of the creator of the vault.
Enter the door and you’ll have a boss fight. Now this boss fight appears to be just like a regular battle, but the Captain is stronger than the ones you’ve ran across in the past. He has a column strike and can cast lightning. The main point of mentioning him though is that you can steal a Silver Helmet from him.
Afterwards there will be a couple of scenes and then you’ll be back at your castle. Head back to the main area of the castle and another scene will occur when you recruit Rorschach. Now go to the Meeting Room. When you are ready to continue, talk to Bast.
War Battle 4 Stand your ground. You may be outnumbered, but not for long. Once you’re reinforcement arrive, take out the troops, but be careful as they can take you out as well. Use your knowledge of the system to make this an easy victory. You could strive for a Rank A, but it’s not necessary and pretty hard to do.
Mayfall City Enemies: Kirgard 2nd Kirgard Sergeant
After the battle, you’ll be in Mayfall City. Bast joins your party. There will be random battles inside the city. It should be pretty obvious where Keyser is at. Head to the Training Area. Head through the west door once inside. Head east and through the door for two chests. Head back and west. Of these two doors, take the left one and go forward another room for another chest. Head back and take the other door. Take either path; they both connect. Time for another boss fight.
Boss Fight Keyser Level 30 HP 1150 Steal: Mithril Bracer
Kirgard Sergeant x4
This battle isn’t too difficult; of course, if you aren’t prepared, it will be. Keyser himself is pretty strong physically and decent magically. The Sergeants could add up damage wise, so you should take them out first. Keep your HP up and he’ll eventually fall. You get 3080 ans for defeating him.
After the battle, watch the scenes that play out. Shiro and Bast officially join your army in middle of the scenes.
Chapter 5
You’re mission is to head south to the Oischin Forest , but it’s time to do some recruiting first. First thing is to head to the training wing of your castle. Remember Fitch? He’s found his way to your castle and once you talk to him in the bottom floor, he joins.
Get Klaus in your party and head to Blackwater. Talk to Griever and she’ll join you now. Talk to Meiko again to update her on events of the war. Now, you can head down to Mayfall City, but first you should head back to your castle to get a good group as you no longer need Klaus in your group. Form a group with combined MAG over 400 (not including your Entourage) and head to Mayfall. Talk to Wilona with your party. If your MAG is over 400, she’ll join your party. You may need to do this later if you can’t add up to 400 yet. Remember, Copper Rings and Bronze Rings increase your MAG. You also might want to recruit Myst first.
Once you have down the above, go visit Myst again. This time he is looking at a bookshelf and there is an open book where he normally stands. Read the spell book and it tells you what all you need. Open the chest next to you. What you need for the book is 1 Brown Herb, 1 Memento (from any item shop), 1 Brown Clay, 1 Leather Belt 1 Sea Serpent Toxin Liquid, and that Charged Jet you just picked up. Once you have all of those items, talk to the Spell book. Perform the spell and afterwards Myst AND Derek join your army.
Now head back to your castle and get a good, strong party ready. The next recruit require a fight against a strong boss. There is another recruit you could get now, but the boss for it is way too hard at this point in time. Make sure Joe is either in your party or your Entourage and head to Amen Corner. Head to Deke’s mansion and speak with him out front.
Boss Fight Iron Golem Level 31 HP 1800 Steal: Granite Mail
Magic will be your friend this battle as he has very high PDF and very low MDF. He can hit pretty hard, but if you have a strong frontline, things shouldn’t be too difficult. You’ll receive Frostwave spell (Ice damage to a column) for defeating it.
Now return to your castle and enter the left building in the courtyard. Speak to Deke and he’ll join your army. While you’re right here at your teleporter, why not recruit the last recruit you can get at this point (besides that one that is too hard)? Teleport to Ansee and go talk to Johnny. Try to recruit him, but he wants you to win 5000 ans from him first. Do so, and he’s yours. Now that you have Johnny, your money troubles are over! He is located in the Tavern, right below your room. Since there’s a save crystal in your room, you can easily load up your game if you start losing money. Unless you are feeling luck, stick to saving after winning a few thousand ans worth (I normally stop around 3 or 4 thousand) because luck changes quickly in this game. Take note that as the game progresses, the maximum bet will increase so don’t discard Johnny’s game later on because he’s not rewarding enough. Now it’s time to head to Oischin Forest.
Oischin Forest Enemies: Wood Beserker Basilisk Black Cobra Dragon Man
Talk to the guards as you enter so that they allow you to pass. Head south and follow the path. At the fork, head south and collect the three chests. Head back up and head west. Follow the path for a scene. After the scene, take the semi-hidden path east. Take the chest and head back and north. You could’ve seen Alex here, but he’s not about to be recruited right now. Follow the path, pick up the treasure chest that you pass, and head south. Another scene and another boss.
Boss Fight Frostmonger Level 34 HP 1200 Steal: Brigandine
This boss could be difficult, not because of his strength or defense but because he can freeze your party members. If a character is frozen and he attacks them, they will be KOed. Remember, you did just pick up a Restore spell. Other than that, luck must be on your side or you really know how to work the battle system. You win a Frost Shard and 2400 ans for winning.
After the battle there will be a couple of scenes and then you’ll have control back on the World Map.
World Map Enemies: Basilisk Wood Berserker Devourer
In the east is your destination of Faraday City. West is Sibet Town; on the other side of the river is Cento Temple. Head to Sibet Town first.
Sibet Town Item Shop: Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Antidote 20 (cures poison)
Magic Shop: Photon Beam 7500 (Light damage to one enemy) Eclipse 7500 (Dark damage spread over all enemies) Fireball 7500 (Fire damage to all enemies) Frostwave 7500 (Ice damage to a column) Waterfall 7500 (Water damage to a row) Thunderbolt 7500 (Thunder damage to adjacent squares)
Talk to Hawk in the west side of town. You can’t recruit him at the moment, but you will soon. Buy any spells you want but then head to Faraday City. There’s nothing at Cento Temple right now.
Faraday City Item Shop: Stone Armlet 800 (+1 MP Regen) Leather Belt 750 (+10 HP) Green Bandana 750 (+2 SKL) Green Cape 750 (+2 DEX) Green Glasses 750 (+2 ACC) Cotton Scarf 750 (+2 SPD) Bronze Badge 750 (+2 STR) Bronze Ring 750 (+2 MAG) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
Weapon Shop: Sharpen weapons to Level 8
Armor Shop: Moon Robe 1750 (+5 PDF, +3 MDF, 3 WGT) Silver Tunic 1850 (+8 PDF, 3 WGT) Brigandine 2500 (+11 PDF, 6 WGT) Silver Helmet 1850 (+6 PDF, 3 WGT) Silk Beret 1550 (+4 PDF, 1 WGT) Steel Boots 600 (+3 PDF, 2 WGT) Hard Boots 550 (+2 PDF, 1 WGT)
Go visit Venkal in the west side of town. Now head through the building at the top center of the town. Inside talk to the person at the desk to find out the way to the headmaster. Before doing that, head up the stair in the east side and go through the door. Talk to the guy in this room to have Daniel tell him to meet you in front of Venkal’s house later. Now go back and talk to Venkal. Now go to the house in the northeast and talk to Mr. Walters. Venkal will come in and will join your army. Head back to the school.
You can find Darwin in the west side of the school, but he can’t be recruited at the moment. Go see the headmaster now. After a few scenes...
Dream World Enemies: Almenga Soldier
Hey, it’s Angel! You are back in the past, of course, and your task is to find Jovian. Wait, why do you have all your present spells in the past? Follow the path and defeat the enemies. You join up with Jovian soon and have one final battle before the dreams switch to more scenes. You’ll soon be in Levier and need to find the orphanage. The door to the orphanage is open. If you try going in any of the other buildings, you get thrown out of them by the dream. Go upstairs and into the door at the end for a scene. More scenes will play out and then you’ll have control. Head to the INN to meet a priest from Cento Temple. Deus will join your party and you can now remove the two mages if you want. Head to Cento Temple.
Cento Temple Item Shop: Quartz Amulet 7500 (+2 MP Regen) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
Magic Shop: Balance 5000(Cures Chaos) Enlight 5000 (Cures Mindblow) Melt 5000 (Cures Freeze) Clearmind 5000 (Cures Berserk) Nerveheal 5000 (Cures Paralyze) Alarm 5000 (Cures Sleep) Restore 7000 (Revives a KO’ed ally)
During the scenes that follow, you are given a Photon Beam and 4000 ans. Deus will still be in your party and it’s now time to head east to the abandoned mansion. Note that Shadfork can be found in the temple, but he can’t be recruited yet.
Elemental Mansion Enemies: Deep Puddle Blue Elemental Black Elemental White Elemental
This entire dungeon could be quite challenging. The enemies here all use magic and quite often. Head through the eastern most door and then through the door on the far side of the room (the south door). From here, go down the steps and get the two treasure chests. Head through the south door. Follow the path and in the next room, head through the door in the northeast. Touch the torch to extinguish it and head out of the room. Go in the door next to this one and get the chest in the room. Now head through the door in the previous room that is below this room. You’ll be back in the main room.
Now go take the door in the far west. All of the blue dots on the ground are actually Deep Puddles that you’ll battle if you walk over them. At the fork, go west and then through the door for 2 chests. Now head back and head east. Head up the stairs and then follow the path until you come to a room with multiple doors. Head through the first door you come to and get the chest (you’ll have to battle at least 1 Deep Puddle to get it). Then head through the door next to this room. The blue torch will be in this room. Touch it, defeat the battle, and exit the room. Go through the door next to this room for a chest and then head south. You’ll be back in the main room again.
Now that both torches extinguished, you can go through the door at the top of the stairs. Follow the path through a few rooms until a scene. It’s time for a big boss fight.
Boss Fight Boris Level 32 HP 800 STR 74 MAG 26 PDF 71 MDF 46 SPD 42 ACC 52 DEX 45 Steal : Chain Belt
Tiamat Level 33 HP 600 STR 60 MAG 49 PDF 52 MDF 62 SPD 58 ACC 58 DEX 63 Steal: Brass Ring
Ice Level 32 HP 450 STR 50 MAG 53 PDF 47 MDF53 SPD 53 ACC 64 DEX 53 Steal: Frostwave
Orlando Level 32 HP 525 STR 48 MAG 51 PDF 53 MDF 74 SPD 49 ACC 50 DEX 51 Steal: Waterfall
This battle could be worse than it is, but there are times that they each use their turn doing nothing. They each are of a different element and have powerful attacks. If you’re stealing items and are struggling with this battle, I’d suggest going after Tiamat and Boris’s items. The other two items you can pick up real easily if you have the money (both can be bought at Sibet for 7500 ans each. Just play BlackJack with Johnny to win the money quickly).
My suggestion is to go after them in order of HP. The sooner you can get rid of one, the better. You receive a Red Cape and 3500 ans for defeating the enemies.
There will be a scene and now it’s time to go see Galius again. Surprisingly, without the Caretakers around, you can still battle their creations inside the mansion. Deus joins your army and it’s time to head back to your castle.
In Oischin Forest on the way back to the castle, go see Alex. He asks for your help with something. Follow him deeper into the woods. After the scene, talk to everybody once and then talk to Alex. Now talk to everybody one more time and then talk to Alex again. After the scene, Alex joins your army. Head back to your castle now. Before going to find Erin, talk to Bartolli. He mentions needing herbs. Head to Sibet now and talk to Hawk to have him join your army. You probably could’ve done this earlier, but you were in middle of a mission and didn’t want to interrupt it. NOW go see Erin in your meeting room.
After the meeting, it’s time to head back to Highland. But first, remember that recruit we skipped earlier because the boss was too difficult? Let’s go recruit that character now. Head back to Shiro’s mansion. Head all the way to where you found Shiro at. Continue south and speak to the girl here. Now inspect the column in the upper right corner.
Boss Fight The Mad King Level 38 HP 2000 STR 105 MAG 66 PDF 76 MDF 61 SPD 57 ACC 71 DEX 62 Steal: Diamond Dust
This is the toughest thing you’ve run into so far if you came here before I told you to. If he’s too tough for you, you can always come back later. If you came when I mentioned, he will be difficult but doable. Once you defeat him, you receive Circlet of Insanity and 5500 ans.
After the battle, Mandala joins your army. Head to Highland like you’re supposed to. The actual place to go in Highland is back to the Mines. There will be a person just inside of them waiting for you. Talk to him to advance the game. After the scenes, head back to your castle and prepare for war by talking to Bast. Keyser, yes Keyser, joins your army before the war battle (you’ll have to talk to Bast again to start the battle).
War Battle 5 If you have recruited all of the recruits so far, you will have 8 units and 28 characters to work with. Set up your army and start the battle. Your goal is to take out Leonius. If you try to wipe them out, you’ll probably end up losing Daniel at some point and lose the battle since they outnumber you.
After the battle, go head to the meeting room and talk to Erin. After the scenes, you’ll be back in your room. When you try to leave, Ayara will be waiting for you. Your mission is to go visit Erin at the capital again. Go visit Meiko first though and update her on the war. She will finally join you if you’ve updated her enough times. If not, keep updating her after each War Battle until she does join. You should note that you can’t enter the Highland State (or Republic now...).
After talking to Erin, you must go back to your castle and speak with the ‘visitor’ in the Meeting Room. During the scenes, ANGEL joins your army!! You’ll have control of yourself at night and must go find Angel in your castle. Her room is above the barracks. The next morning (hmm... we never see Daniel leave and the first thing we see is him and Angel together....) Carson reminds you about Erin’s request. Make your party and head out. Angel has to be in your party and unfortunately, she’s at the level she was last time you used her. Put her in the second or third row and in the next area she’ll level up quickly if she survives battles.
Fading Dreams Enemies: Light Stalker Brain Leech Lurker Cathead
The place to go is slightly to the west of the capital. Why couldn’t we go here before? Well.... it is a big place. You just....overlooked it. Anyways, once inside head north. Pick up the chest and continue north. At the first fork, take the path west for two chests and then continue onward. Once you come to the room with two switches and a closed door, step on both switches for a scene. Afterwards, move forward and continue. At the fork, take the door again for two more chests then head south. You’ll come to another switch. Push the pillar onto it to keep the door open. In the room with many switches, the graphics seem to mess up as you can sometimes go through the walls east and west. Play with the switches until you can get to the chest and the door. Then proceed forward. Hit the switch for another scene. Head through the east door for two chests than head through the west one. Time for a boss fight.
Boss Fight Wyvern Level 37 HP 1900 STR 79 MAG 64 PDF 64 MDF 62 SPD 47 ACC 69 DEX 55 Steal: Diamond Dust
Left Wing STR 67 MAG 62 PDF 54 MDF 69 SPD 59 ACC 66 DEX 57 Steal: Photon Beam
Right Wing Level 36 STR 67 MAG 62 PDF 71 MDF 56 SPD 59 ACC 66 DEX 57 Steal: Brass Badge
It may look like this is one boss at first, but his wings are factored into the equation as they are their own target. You’ll want to take out the wings first to make this battle easier. You receive a Purple Herb and 4500 ans for defeating him.
A scene and then you’ll be back outside and are supposed to head back to your castle. Head to the meeting room for a scene. Head back to the meeting room and say that you’re ready. Watch the scenes that play out.
Courthouse Matrech Soldier Matrech Corporal
Once you are back in control, you must flee the courthouse. Head east for a chest but you’ll have to face some soldiers to get it. Head west and get the chest in this room before heading down the stairs and east (the door is irrelevant). At the first fork, head east, and then east again at the next fork. Head south at the next fork.
Scenes later and you’ll be back at your castle and preparing for war. Talk to Angel if you want to save. Talk to Bast to arrange your troops. Talk to Jovian, yes Jovian, to continue with the game.

War Battle 6 Jovian and one unit will be Guest units for this battle. You outnumber these guys, so you should be able to take them easy enough. I easily took down all of their troops and only Jovian and his partner were defeated. The rest were in good shape (except one of my Cavies.)
After the battle, many more scenes. Beau and Jovian officially joins your Army during this.
Chapter 6
Your task now is to catch a boat to Bayside. It should be noted that all of the Zelmony main places cannot be accessed at this point. The only city is Credence and you can go to the borders but cannot go through. First thing you should do is get Cid in your party and go to Credence. Go visit Teej and you can recruit him now. Now get a group of all men (even your entourage; make sure Johnny is one of them) and sail to Bayside.
Back in Bayside, talk to Petra and she’ll join your army. Next go talk to the dog. King will join if Johnny is in your party. Afterwards head to Harlinton. First go to the INN and talk to the person sitting down and has a hat. They’ll mention Avalon. Go upstairs and talk to Mai. Ask what’s wrong and then try to recruit her.
Boss Fight Mai Level 38 HP 262 STR 39 MAG 105 PDF 657 MDF 125 SPD 69 ACC 62 DEX 67 Steal: Nothing
Yes, she doesn’t have much HP, but Physical attacks are worthless. You must use magic to defeat her. Her MDF is high also and she hits hard. To actually do real damage to her, you must use second level spells. If you have some to spare, Gold Dust can pretty much cancel out her magic spells for characters that survive them. If she’s too difficult now, come back later.
Head to the Governor’s Residence to continue on with the game. Watch the scene and then pick a new group. Head out of town and into the forest you used to escape earlier in the game.
Boss Fight Boris Level 37 HP: 1850 STR: 111 MAG: 31 PDF: 85 MDF: 60 SPD: 55 ACC: 63 DEX: 48 Steal: Titanium Bracer
Boris has more life this time around and is a bigger threat. His weakness is magic again. Steal his bracer and then take him down before he takes you down. You win 2000 ans from him.
After the battle, Boris dies and Orlando joins your army. Head back to Harlinton. After the scenes, it’s time to head to Gaia’s Heart. It’s on the other side of the mountain in the south.
Gaia’s Heart Enemies: Cave Troll Dire Spider Carrion Worm Belgugon
This place is pretty much a maze. From the save point that you come to, take the path east and inspect the bones. Now head back and go through the door at the end of the western path. Head north. You’ll come to another fork but both lead to the same place. At this fourway section, head east for a chest. Then head north and follow it. At this fork, go west and follow it to a new room.
In this new room, head north until the fork. At the fork, head east as north is just a dead-end. At the next fork, head north until the save point. Head west for the chest and then head back to the save point. Head north into the next room.
In this next room, head east at the fork. Then, follow the path that heads south and then east. At the four way intersection, head east for the chest and then head back. Now go north and follow the path to a fork. Head south until you see another save crystal. Save and continue past it though the door.
There will be a scene in this new, lit, room. That should be a clear warning that something is going to happen...
Boss Fight Pestilence Level 42 HP: 2200 STR: 102 MAG: 79 PDF: 89 MDF: 75 SPD: 68 ACC: 68 DEX: 52 Steal: Titanium Orb
This worm shouldn’t be too difficult. Give him all you got and he’ll go down eventually. You’ll win a Plague Mask and 6666 ans.
After the fight, watch the scene. You’ll be back in Harlinton but you need to head back to Gaia’s Heart. Talk to the soldier and tell him that you are ready. Watch the scenes. Once in control, head back to Blackwater. Head back to your castle and go to the meeting room. After the scene, it’s time to head back to Highland. Keyser is the only person required in your party right now, so you can set up your group how you want. You can actually teleport to the capital again.
Once at the capital, go talk to that one guy with amnesia. He remembers a few things. Return to Harlinton and go to the blacksmith. Talk to the woman here and she mentions remembering the man. Head back to him and you’ll recruit Nicolai. Now, you must take Nicolai to each Blacksmith in order for him to sharpen your weapon to a certain degree. You don’t have to do this now, but if you want to not have to travel so much, you’ll want to eventually. Now go visit Rock where the hanging took place. Rock will temporarily join your party and it’s time to head back to your castle. Head to the meeting room. Talk to Leonius to continue. Watch the scenes and then prepare for war.
War Battle 7
This battle could be difficult if you’re not prepared. Your troops are separated for this battle. In a couple a rounds, two reinforcements come to help you out. Don’t take any unnecessary risks.
After the battle, form a good party because it’s time for a boss fight already.
Boss Fight Trevor Level 41 HP: 1000 STR: 105 MAG: 54 PDF: 82 MDF: 69 SPD: 69 ACC: 80 DEX: 65 Steal: Darkstrike
Sick Level 40 HP: 850 STR: 93 MAG: 63 PDF: 61 MDF: 87 SPD: 82 ACC: 70 DEX: 74 Steal: Lightstrike
This fight is pretty much like the last one. They shouldn’t be too difficult to beat this time around. Make sure to steal their items. You’ll receive a Charged Jet, a Charged Pearl, and 9000 ans for winning.
Watch the scene that occur. Merrick and Nashal will join your army during this. You’ll be back in your castle and need to go to the meeting room again. Rock finally joins your army. If you didn’t get Paris a long time ago, you can get him now if you have Rock in your party. After the scene, it’s time to head to Fading Dreams by yourself. You actually can take a party with you, but there’s no reason to. Watch the scene that plays when you enter.
Afterwards head back to your castle and into the meeting room. Angel and Jovian join your party and you are to go to Bayside. Go to the tavern for a scene.
Boss Fight Clint Level 44 HP: 1382 STR: 117 MAG: 66 PDF: 74 MDF: 97 SPD: 69 ACC: 89 DEX: 70 Steal: Adventurer’s Jacket
This guy can be tough. His Roulette Shot can do hard damage to your entire party. He can also increase his speed by casting Haste. Just keep your HP up and he’ll go down eventually. You gain Blue Glasses and 10000 ans for defeating him.
After the battle, watch the scene and then head to your room. Watch the scene that follows. When in control, form a party and head back to where it all started...
Kelsinger Pass Enemies: Ogre Soldier Orc Shaman Ogre Chieftain Nightmare Hill Giant
That’s funny... last time you were here, these enemies would’ve KOed you in one hit. Now, they shouldn’t be too difficult. You can steal Quartz Armlets from the Orc Shamans. It doesn’t matter which way you go as they connect together. Thus, you should take both paths. On the western path you’ll run into two chest right away. Head north and follow it until you come to a three way path which is practically above the starting spot. On the eastern path from the beginning, head east and north. There will be two paths you can take. Take the first one for two chests and then take the second path (above the first one) until you come to the three way path mentioned above. Once you’ve taken both paths, head northwest at the three way path. At this next three way path, head north for 2 chests and then continue west. Follow the path until a scene.
Boss Fight Brunhild Level 48 HP: 2200 STR: 120 MAG: 110 PDF: 91 MDF: 92 SPD: 149 ACC: 91 DEX: 82 Steal: Silver Tiara
Look at her stats. This is going to be a hard battle to win. Fact in the fact that many of her attacks cause status effects and it’s even worse. You gain a Diamond Dust and 12000 ans for defeating her.
Watch the scene and then continue onward. Head to Port Jargo.
Port Jargo Item Shop: Chain Belt 6000 (+20 HP) Red Bandana 6000 (+4 SKL) Red Cape 6000 (+4 DEX) Red Glasses 6000 (+4 ACC) Velvet Scarf 6000 (+4 SPD) Brass Badge 6000 (+4 STR) Brass Ring 6000 (+4 MAG) Mithril Orb 6000 (+4 MDF) Mithril Bracer 6000 (+4 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Green Herb 5000 (Heals 500 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Gold Dust 15000 (Heals 200 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
Magic Shop: Cure 12500 (Heals one ally) Restore 7000 (Revives a KO’ed ally) Mend-All 2000 (Heals all allies) Mend 100 (Heals one ally)
Armor Shop: Fine Silk Robe 8000 (+9 PDF, +6 MDF, 5 WGT) Warm Parka 8400 (+14 PDF, 7 WGT) Knight Armour 10000 (+19 PDF, 10 WGT) Striped Visor 5300 (+7 PDF, 4 WGT) Headband 4900 (+6 PDF, 2 WGT) Silver Greaves 2300 (+5 PDF, 3 WGT) Long Boots 1850 (+4 PDF, 1 WGT)
Blacksmith: Sharpen weapons to level 10.
Your task is to go speak to the wounded man in the INN, but first look around the town. You can find Reod in the eastern part of town. Talk to him and watch his show. If you have Joe or Rorschach in your party, talk to him again to recruit him. On the west side you will find a man that will sell you Battle Plans #1 for 5000 ans. You could exit the town to the north, but there’s nothing out of here right now. Go to the INN and visit the wounded man. After the scenes, you’ll be back at your castle. You are supposed to go to the meeting room. Take note, however, that since you have that key now, you can teleport back to your castle from anywhere on the world map now. So you can travel a lot easier now if you want. It’s located under your Special Items.
Head to the meeting room for some scenes. Eander joins your army.
Chapter 7
You gain control again in your room and must again go to the meeting room. On the way, however, you run into Jovian. You must head to the church in Credence now. After the scene, Chancellor Ryan will join your army. Once you have control again, head back to your meeting room. Talk to Eander to start the war battle.
War battle 8
Your troops are separated again. Take care of the groups that are sticking out and try to get your east flank over to you before Erin’s army gets down to you. Keep Daniel protected as they will target him.
After you win, it’s time to chase the remaining army. Ryan and Ayara join your party now and you get to choose a party before heading in. You won’t be able to leave the area right now, but there is a save point, Carson to change party members, and someone who can heal you.
Matrech Catacombs Enemies: Matrech Knight Matrech Elite Sahagin Land Shark
This is a great place to level up. The Matrech units aren’t too difficult, so you should take the time and level up any character you want to use later on. Take note that coming up later in the game there will be a dungeon where you’ll need multiple parties, so you should start training more units to use. You might want to use some of your normal units as a front if you do this though as some of the units that aren’t as strong would struggle especially if you haven’t kept their weapons sharpened. You can also get some good money from these enemies. Of course you could always come back later, but the free INN won’t be right out the door for you.
When you are ready to continue on, follow the path until you come to a fork. This isn’t really a fork since you can only go south. Go south to another fork. Head east and follow this path to the only chest in this room. Now head back to the fork and continue south. Follow this path to the door in the north and enter the next room.
Collect the two chests in this room and continue through the door at the north end. Head west in this new room and north to a fork. Head west and follow this path to another room. Inside are four chests. Take them and then head back to the fork. Head east this time to find a save point. Guess what that means? Head north and follow the path into the next room. Follow the path for a scene.
Boss Fight Ghost Magus Level 48 HP: 4500 STR: 46 MAG: 128 PDF: 1 MDF: 109 SPD: 84 ACC: 46 DEX: 74 Steal: Fine Silk Robe
That’s not a typo. This guy only has 1 for his Physical Defense, so hit him with your weapons. This guy can hit pretty hard and can put you to sleep, but he shouldn’t be too difficult for you. He can also steal life from you, so be careful of this. You earn a Silver Ring and 16000 ans for defeating him.
After the battle, Erin and Jasper join your army. Once you have control after the scenes, head to the meeting room of your castle. After the meeting, talk to Eander to start the next war battle.
War Battle 9
This battle won’t last very long. After a certain number of troops are killed, your army ends up retreating. I was wiping the floor with them (I only lost about 200 troops while killing over a thousand of theirs) and was told they were too strong.

Once you have control again, you’ll have to talk to Harvey to continue on, but look around the town first. Talk to Frore in town and try to recruit him. He says he has to lay low right now. You can exit to the world map, but there’s nothing out here right now and why risk it with just Daniel in your party? (Of course you might be able to take the enemies with just him anyway.) Go back to Harvey when you’re ready to continue on with the game. Take not that Daniel will not be in your party for the upcoming events. Harvey will be required in your party.
Vishnu Citadel Enemies: Tribal Warrior Hunter Savak Warlock
From where you start, head south and follow the path. You will eventually come to a room that has a door going north and a path continuing east. Take the door for two chests and then continue through the east path until you come to a room with a save crystal. Head east some more for a chest and then head back. Head north now and hang west so you can go up the stairs in the corner of the room.
Upstairs head south for two chests. Note: One of these items are necessary for recruiting a character so make sure you get it. Now head back to the stairs. Head west and follow the path to where it branches off. Head south at this fork and get the chest. Then return to the fork and head east. In this room, head through the door in the north and hit the switch on the wall. Go back out of this room and head east. Head north and follow this path to the end. You’ll be back in the room with the stairs. Head north now and you’ll come to a save crystal. Head through the door here. Go up the stairs and then through the door east. Time for a boss fight.
Boss Fight Beastmaster Level 55 HP: 2000 STR: 129 MAG: 118 PDF: 128 MDF: 112 SPD: 92 ACC: 118 DEX: 94 Steal: Brown Herb
White Beast Level 52 HP: 1100 STR: 127 MAG: 70 PDF: 95 MDF: 89 SPD: 117 ACC: 104 DEX: 95 Steal: Silver Badge
Black Beast Level 52 HP: 1100 STR: 127 MAG: 70 PDF: 95 MDF: 89 SPD: 117 ACC: 104 DEX: 95 Steal: Studded Belt
What makes these guys difficult is there speed and strength. Focus on taking one down at a time (or both tigers with magic) and keep your characters alive. In addition the White Beast can give you the freezing status so watch out. You receive a Purple Herb and 19000 ans for defeating them.
After the battle, continue into the next room. After the short scene, it’s time for the real war battle.
War Battle 10
This battle is just like the last one but they have less troops. This time you can actually beat them. Your target is as always their leader. He is pretty tough so watch out. He has 900 troops and high attack. He might be able to take out even your strongest unit in one attack if you’re not careful. His defense isn’t that good though so you can take him down quickly.
After the battle, watch the scenes. Harvey joins your army. Jovian will be in your party and you’re to go visit Ashton Port. You can find Sef in Trarcia now, but don’t talk to him just yet. Instead, teleport back to your castle. Let’s take some time to do some more recruiting. There have been some characters that you could’ve picked up earlier, but they were out of the way and not really important at the time.
First and foremost, get Teej in your party. Teleport to Faraday City. Head into the school and find Tiffany. Talk to her and she’ll join your army. Now find Darwin in the school. Give him the Raindow Ore you just picked up in the Vishnu Citadel and leave for at least 15 minutes. Let’s go recruit someone else in the meantime and come back to get him afterwards. Head to Cento Temple and talk to Shadfork. Try to recruit him and he’ll challenge you to a race. LOSE to him and he’ll join you. With Shadfork in your party, go visit Tong Fu in the INN. He will join your army. If this doesn’t happen now, try after recruiting Sef. (I actually recruited him after Sef but believe that you could at this time.)
Head to see Nomad in the mountains again. Agree to help him and he’ll join you temporarily. Head to Avalon, which is southwest of Mayfall.
Avalon Enemies: Crusader Unicorn Enchanter Templar
Head inside and examine the tablet. In this next area there are four buildings you can enter: West, Northwest, North, and Northeast. Head into the west and north buildings for a chest a piece and then head into the Northeast one. The Northwest building has nothing inside of it. Head through either door in this building as they connect together. Head north down here, collect the two chests, and head out the door in the west.
You’ll be back outside. Head up the path in the northeast to enter a building. Climb the stairs and enter the door here. Now go north, grab the chest, and enter the room here. Step on the switch and then return outside.
Go Northwest now and climb up the stairs here. Head inside and check the tablet. You’ll have to input a code here. The code was back on the wall in Mt. Boche: CLVIII. This translates into the number 158. Enter that number and the door will open.
Head down the west stairs and follow this path. Go out the east door and step on the switch. Head into the west room and check the second bookshelf from the top left. You’ll receive the ornate key. Head back upstairs and go down the other stairs. Go through this room, unlock the door, and go out the door. Take the two chests and then head back up the stairs. Go through the door in the north. Boss time!
Boss Fight Pentdragon Level 46 HP: 2400 STR: 134 MAG: 103 PDF: 104 MDF: 86 SPD: 86 ACC: 86 DEX: 77 Steal: Blue Bandana
He shouldn’t be difficult at all with how your levels are now. You receive a Holy Grail and 12500 ans for defeating him.
After the battle, Nomad joins your army. Keep him in your party for now. Now return back to Darwin. He’ll give you the Spectral Prism and then join your army. Go visit headmistress Marian with Nomad in your party. After a scene, she’ll join you. If this doesn’t happen now, try after recruiting Sef. (I actually recruited her after Sef but believe that you could at this time.) Teleport back to Trarcia and finally talk to Sef. Agree to help him out. Steal a Black Ruby from the Hoarder outside. You could always get it later on, but it’s better to steal it now. With the Black Ruby and Reod in your party, head to Jargo Port City. Find the door that is somewhat hidden in the northwest (it’s by the water) and investigate it. Reod will open the door. Talk to Marcello, try to recruit him, talk to him again, and he’ll join your army.
World Map Enemies: Land Shark Azure Golem Hoarder
Across the bridge and to the south, you can find Ashton Port, but ignore it for now. To the north is the Vishnu Citadel. Northeast of this is Shiva Passage but you can’t go through here yet. East of this is the Magma Caverns.
Magma Caverns Enemies: Lava Bones Catoblepas Hobgolbin Gargoyle Imp
Once inside, follow the straight forward path until you reach a save crystal. Head east to the chest and then return back to the save point. Head north now. At this fork, head west for a chest and then continue along the path. Don’t go north when given the option just continue and go south. In the next room, get the chest and continue on the path to another save point. Go east into the next room. Watch the scene and then it’s boss time.
Boss Fight Soth Level 56 HP: 2500 STR: 134 MAG: 134 PDF: 117 MDF: 107 SPD: 133 ACC: 133 DEX: 128 Steal: Blackened Helmet
His stats are deceiving. When he does his Channeling power move, his stats increase. Take him down quickly or you’ll start to struggle. You will receive a Diamond Dust and 25000 ans for defeating him.
After the battle, Sef, Soth, and Shin all join your army. Now it’s time to head to Ashton Port.
Ashton Port Item Shop: Quartz Armlet 7500 (+2 MP Regen) Chain Belt 6000 (+20 HP) Red Bandana 6000 (+4 SKL) Red Cape 6000 (+4 DEX) Red Glasses 6000 (+4 ACC) Velvet Scarf 6000 (+4 SPD) Brass Badge 6000 (+4 STR) Brass Ring 6000 (+4 MAG) Mithril Orb 6000 (+4 MDF) Mithril Bracer 6000 (+4 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Green Herb 5000 (Heals 500 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Gold Dust 15000 (Heals 200 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)

Head down near the INN and you’ll have a scene with Clint. Return to your castle now. You should know by now where to head next. It’s the time that I mentioned you’d need more than one party. You’ll need 4 in fact. Harvey is the leader of Team One, Daniel leads Team Two, Jovian will lead Team Three, and Ayara will lead Team Four. To continue after the meeting, talk to Eander. If you haven’t made your teams good by now, you should do so. Take note that you’ll be able to remove the equipment of the teams if you want so Armor isn’t all that important. You should be sure to sharpen your weapons for each party because each group will have a boss fight.
Shiva Passage Enemies: Almenga Soldier Almenga Captain Mountain Tiger Parasite Manticore Pandora’s Box Almenga Summoner
Noticeable Steals are: Imperial Mail from the Almenga Captains. Menu #6 from Pandora’s Box. Restore from Parasite.

Like the game states, you can press A to change between parties. There is a save point in each of the starting rooms in case you’re interested. You will notice circles with patterns inside them in front of doors. These are the locked doors that was mentioned in the story. There is Star, Moon, and Sun patterns. You may notice that there will be a few doors that don’t have the circles in front of them but are still locked . There’s one of these doors for each of the parties. All these doors do is connect the four paths together and allows easy passage through the passage from the entrance to the exit. There’s no extra chests; there’s no special events. Thus, you can just ignore them as they aren’t unlocked until you’ve completed the dungeon. Also take note that once you’ve completed this dungeon, the enemies will disappear.
If you move everybody as far as they can, Harvey and Jovian will be stopped by doors. Daniel and Ayara could be stopped by doors but they also can access switches. Because of this, it’s possible that there is more than one way to get through this area. This is how I did it:
Hit Daniel’s switch to allow Harvey to move forward. Follow the path until you can fork left and right. Go left and into the door. Switch to Ayara and hit the switch. This allows Daniel and Jovian to advance forward but locks Ayara in her room. Move Daniel past the door that blocked his path, but then have him just wait there for now. Move Jovian forward north for two chests and then head west to the other door that was locked. Head north and then east when you come to the locked door. In this next room, head north through the door you come to and head east for a chest. Next, head west and go in the door. Hit the switch and switch back to Daniel.
Go north through the door for two chests. Then head back and go west. Follow the path until you come to a locked door, stairs to your west, and an open doorway to your east. Go east for a chest. Now go up the stairs and follow the path until the fork. Go east and follow the straightforward path until another fork. Go west and into the switch room. Don’t touch the switch just yet. Then switch to Harvey and have him hit his switch to turn it to Moon. Switch to Jovian.
Next, have Jovian advance through the door that was locked to him before. Go north and at the fork go west and follow the path to another locked door. Switch to Ayara. Have Ayara hit her switch and then switch back to Jovian. Move Jovian through the door and all the way to a switch that you can step on.
Switch to Harvey, hit his switch, and switch back to Ayara. Have her finally exit this room and advance forward to a locked door. Switch to Daniel briefly to unlock the door and switch back to her. Go north and into the first room you come across for a chest. Continue on, ignore the next opened door, and go to her switch to stand on.
Switch to Harvey and move him east to the end of the hall then south. Pick up the chest as you’re heading south. Follow the path all the way to his standing switch. Switch to Daniel and move back to the fork. Head north this time and you’ll find his standing switch. Once all parties are standing on the switches, the doors in front of them will open. Inside are the bosses for the parties (most have to travel through a couple of small rooms to get to them). Remember, you can switch armor between parties and also after defeating the bosses.
Harvey: Almenga Soldier x3 (these are normal enemies)
Mahadevi Level 55 HP: 2200 STR: 118 MAG: 153 PDF: 105 MDF: 115 SPD: 112 ACC: 112 DEX: 87 Steal: Fireball
This fight shouldn’t be too difficult. Take out the soldiers quickly and then take down the boss. She (he?) can hit pretty hard and blind you, but it shouldn’t take too long if you’re prepared. You’ll receive 11400 ans for defeating them.
Daniel: Elder Summoner Level 53 HP: 1200 STR: 105 MAG: 110 PDF: 71 MDF: 115 SPD: 86 ACC: 97 DEX: 86 Steal: Charged Jet
Indra Level 56 HP 2500 STR: 158 MAG: 122 PDF: 114 MDF: 110 SPD: 110 ACC: 122 DEX: 85 Steal: Thunderbolt
Defeat the Summoner first since she can heal and will go down quickly. This fight should be pretty easy.
Jovian: Almenga Soldier x3 (again, normal enemies)
Nandi Level 54 HP: 2000 STR: 137 MAG: 101 PDF: 108 MDF: 94 SPD: 99 ACC: 101 DEX: 68 Steal: Frostwave
Take out the soldiers first again and then go after the boss. Nandi can hit pretty hard and can hit all of your characters, but it shouldn’t be anything too severe. If this boss can cause freeze, I never ran into it. The boss should fall quickly. You receive 10900 ans for defeated them.
Ayara: Almanga Soldier x3 (normal enemies)
Kama Level 54 HP: 1800 STR: 102 MAG: 158 PDF: 99 MDF: 119 SPD: 118 ACC: 102 DEX: 89 Steal: Photon Beam
As always, take care of the soldiers first and then the boss. What makes this one difficult is Kama is fast and can use Fragile which gives the freeze status to a character. Take down the boss quickly (physical strikes are slightly better than magical). You receive 10400 ans
After you have defeated all of the bosses, there will be a series of scenes to watch. When you have control again, your mission is to head to Levier with Jovian and Angel
World Map Enemies: Mountain Tiger Green Wolf Pandora’s Box
Straight in front of you on the world map is your destination of Levier. The Forgotten Cave is in the mountain to the northeast of here, but you are most definitely not ready for it. To the northwest is Jormundgand and a bridge that you can’t cross. To the east is another bridge that you can’t cross. You can’t access Jormundgand yet, so you might as well just head to Levier
Levier Weapon Shop: Sharpen weapons to level 11
Armor Shop: Golden Robe 34000 (+13 PDF, +10 MDF, 6 WGT) Golden Vest 36000 (+21 PDF, 10 WGT) Golden Plate 40000 (+28 PDF, 15 WGT) Golden Helmet 22500 (+11 PDF, 6 WGT) Golden Hat 20000 (+8 PDF, 4 WGT) Golden Greaves 14000 (+8 PDF, 6 WGT) Golden Boots 11500 (+6 PDF, 3 WGT)
You can talk to Angel and Jovian’s parents, but they don’t say anything important (except that Angel’s father is the blacksmith). You can find a chest in Jovian’s room, so go take it. Once you’ve looked around town, go to the orphanage. Go into the door that you see for a scene. After the scene, return to your castle and head you know where.
After this scene, Bast will be in your party and you must head to Tal Gren. There is a glitch that will allow you to walk across the river just south of the fort, but I don’t recommend it as I haven’t tested it out. The legitimate way of advancing is to talk to Eander to be sent to Jinen Gama.
Jinen Gama Enemies: Black Death Brown Serpent Harpy Sand Shark
Head east and follow the straightforward path until you reach a fork (there will be a few very small forks along the way, but they are dead-ends) and head on the upper path for a chest. Then take the one below it to continue. At the next fork, continue east for two chests and then head south. Continue along the path until you run into a scene.
Boss Fight Rashnu Level 64 HP: 2750 STR: 228 MAG: 209 PDF: 128 MDF: 201 SPD: 177 ACC: 122 DEX: 138 Steal: White Fez
This guy is strong and fast. Luckily his defense isn’t too high. Give him all you’ve got and hopefully he’ll go down quickly. During the battle he might “sheath his sword”. I have not figured out what exactly this does, but believe that it is probably similar to what the elementals did back when you faced them a.k.a. waste a turn. You receive a Lightstrike and 55000 ans for defeating him.
Tal Gren Weapon Shop: Sharpen Weapons to level 12
Armor Shop: Golden Robe 34000 (+13 PDF, +10 MDF, 6 WGT) Golden Vest 36000 (+21 PDF, 10 WGT) Golden Plate 40000 (+28 PDF, 15 WGT) Golden Helmet 22500 (+11 PDF, 6 WGT) Golden Hat 20000 (+8 PDF, 4 WGT) Golden Greaves 14000 (+8 PDF, 6 WGT) Golden Boots 11500 (+6 PDF, 3 WGT)
Magic Shop: Regen 32000 (Recovers hp over time) Lock 32000 (Temporarily locks all status on target) Haste 32000 (Temporarily raises speed) Barrier 32000 (Temporarily halves physical damage) Shield 32000 (Temporarily halves magical damage) Blink 32000 (Gives a chance of dodging any attack) Cure-All 30000 (Heals all allies) Cure 12500 (Heals one ally)
Watch the scenes that play out. When you have control, you’ll be in Tal Gren and are supposed to leave. Check out the town first. The magics here are new and you might want to take a look at them. Supposedly some of these magics are necessary for defeating some of the future bosses. Once you are done, it’s time to head back to your castle. Rashnu is willing to escort you out. If you don’t want to go through the mountains again, take him up on his offer. Once at the beginning of the dungeon, talk to your man to leave the area. A short meeting and then talk with Eander to start the war battle.
War Battle 11 If you’re lucky, they won’t move many troops after your back attack. Be careful but have Daniel’s side move quickly otherwise they’ll wipe out Bast, Jovian, and Merrick.
After the battle, watch the scenes and then form a party. At this boss fight, don’t even try. You can’t win the battle. You won’t even be able to damage them. When you have control, leave the room and pick up the chest. Then go ahead and continue on.
War Battle 12 If this battle looks too good to be true, then it probably is. After you advance to a certain section, more troops will appear and you’ll eventually retreat.
Back at the Fort watch the scene. Now it’s time for the REAL battle.
War Battle 12.1 Hmm... Tarlia is missing again. Another ambush? Probably. They already do outnumber you. Move your forces up and watch out for that ambush! After the ambush that really does come, carefully continue on with the battle and aim for Ash.
After the battle, scenes and Tarlia will join your army. Form a party and continue. You immediately have the boss fight.
Boss Fight Riftgate Level 64 HP: 3000 STR: 258 MAG: 207 PDF: 86 MDF: 198 SPD: 189 ACC: 181 DEX: 172 Steal: Blink
This boss has low physical defense but strong physically and magically. Take it down quickly to earn Battle Plan #10 and 60000 ans.
There will be a short scene and then...
Chapter 8 There will be some scenes. Bruce will join your army. Time for another war battle.
War Battle 13 This battle looks very weird. Surprisingly during the battle nothing happens. Perhaps after the battle...
When you have control, you can move forward if you want. However, now that you have liberated Kirgard, you might as well look around the country first. On the other side of Ft. Brahma, you will find the city of Valduz. In the north is the capital. Just east of the capital is Bandit Cave which has completely nothing, and to the far east is Jinen Gama. Stop by Tal Gren and talk to Rashnu for Battle Plans #17.

Seriously, if Kirgard actually used the stuff that their shops sell, the war with Zelmony would have been over long ago. Check out the shops and then head out. The castle has nothing in it right now.
Jormundgand Enemies: Frost Giant Flying Fish Needler Tortoise Drow Fairy
Follow the path to the first fork and head north. At the next fork, head west for a chest and then north. You’ll come to a scene. Once you have control, head back into the area that the scene was and get the chest. Go back and then north this time. After a pretty straightforward path, you’ll come to a fork. Head west for two chests and then go back and north for another scene. Continue north until a save point.
War Battle 13 There’s only two units here against your army, but they are pretty strong and are mages. Be careful. You might want to keep Daniel’s unit away from them.
Hall of Memories Enemies: Merman Stalker Deep Spawn Scylla Charybdis Black Cat
Afterwards there will be some scenes and you’ll have Yan and Deus in your party. Head inside and you’ll immediately come to a fork. Go west and into the room to find some of the remaining people. Talk to them to learn some information. Make sure that you check all of the bookshelves as you come to them to find translated text. Go north at the fork this time and you’ll already have a boss fight.
Marid King Level 68 HP: 3000 STR: 166 MAG: 249 PDF: 138 MDF: 147 SPD: 184 ACC: 157 DEX: 166 Steal: Djinni Shoes
This guy is sort of fast and has high magical powers. Shouldn’t be too difficult, but he can put you to sleep. You’ll receive a crystal orb and 22000 ans for defeating him.
After the battle, head of the stairs. You can now go west, east, and south. The east and west paths lead to a chest each and some bookcases. Go through the south door now. You’ll eventually come to a room with four floor switches that control pillars at the bottom of the stairs. It’s not hard to figure it out. Figure out which switch does which. This chart should help:
Top left: Changes 3rd Bottom left: Changes 2nd and 4th Top right: Changes 1st and 4th Bottom right: Changes 3rd and 4th
Collect the chest once you solve it and head south. Another boss fight
Boss Fight: Fafnir Level 69 HP: 2800 STR: 235 MAG: 219 PDF: 189 MDF: 187 SPD: 204 ACC: 208 DEX: 166 Steal: Purple Cape
Right Wing Level 67 HP: 1300 STR: 1 MAG: 1 PDF: 207 MDF: 164 SPD: 1 ACC: 1 DEX: 167 Steal: Nothing
Left Wing Level 67 HP: 1300 STR: 1 MAG: 1 PDF: 158 MDF: 201 SPD: 1 ACC: 1 DEX: 167 Steal: Nothing
This battle should not be hard at all. Just look at those stats. You receive a Diamond Dust and 22500 ans for defeating this boss.
Save and then continue onward. At the fork, head west for more bookshelves and a treasure chest. Go back to the fork and head north for another boss fight.
Boss Fight Tlazolteotl Level 70 HP: 3400 STR: 259 MAG: 347 PDF: 233 MDF: 197 SPD: 178 ACC: 178 DEX: 138 Steal: Haste
The only thing this boss has strong physical attacks and can inflict status effects to you. You receive an Inferno and 25000 ans.
After the battle, check the bookshelves and head north. More bookshelves and a chest as you continue on. In the next room are more step switches. The switches are pretty straightforward. You only have to hit them once (except for the middle one which needs to be hit twice). In the next room there is one switch. Hit it and go through the door. You’ll be back in the room where you faced the Fafnir. Take the far east door for another scene and boss fight.
Boss Fight Thanatos Level: 71 HP: 3500 STR: 331 MAG: 184 PDF: 186 MDF: 219 SPD: 202 ACC: 202 DEX: 163 Steal: Power Gear
This guy has a move that can instantly kill one of your party members. Other than that, he’s a piece of cake. You receive a Purple Herb and 30000 ans for defeating it.
After the battle, read all of the books and then continue onward through a few rooms until you reach another scene and the final boss fight.
Boss Fight Phaseshaper Level 72 HP: 4000 STR: 318 MAG: 269 PDF: 106 MDF: 243 SPD: 243 ACC: 222 DEX: 222 Steal: Solar Flare
This guy is strong but has bad defense. He also likes to evade attacks (either that or I was really unlucky/have a bad setup). You receive Menu Set #9 and 35000 ans for defeating him.
After the fight, read the bookshelf in the lower right to activate a scene. When you have control, read the rest of the books and then exit the room for another scene. You will be in Nifl Woods when you gain control. Like Yan Angwa stated, you will need to form 3 parties, but only Daniel’s group should be strong. You are going to be finishing off the two commandos and the battle against them is one of the hardest battles in the game. It is suggested that use learn how to use the buff spells in paired with Lock.
However, before you go face them, leave the forest.
World Map Enemies: Snow Worms Ice Wolf Flying Fish
Jormundgand is in the southeast of this area. Muspelheim just north of it. Hall of Memories in the south central region. A cave above Muspelheim that you can’t get to yet (Luther’s quest). In the west is Nifl Woods, above this is Niflheim, and in the far north is the North Almenga Border. Go to Niflheim first.
Niflheim Item Shop: Opal Amulet 25000 (+4 MP Regen) Giant Belt 50000 (+80 HP) Purple Bandana 50000 (+16 SKL) Purple Cape 50000 (+16 DEX) Purple Glasses 50000 (+16 ACC) Silk Scarf 50000 (+16 SPD) Gold Badge 50000 (+16 STR) Gold Ring 50000 (+16 MAG) Crystal Orb 50000 (+16 MDF) Crystal Bracer 50000 (+16 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Green Herb 5000 (Heals 500 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Gold Dust 15000 (Heals 200 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
Find Kella in the town and tell her where you found Frore. She then leaves. Other than that, there’s nothing but the item shop in this town. Return to Tracia now and speak to Kella again. Frore fled to Madrigal. Speak to him (try to recruit) and then go back to Kella in Tracia. She’ll leave to Madrigal in search of him. Return there to find out he fled again. Repeat these steps with Harlinton (find him, talk to him, return to Kella, but instead of returning to Harlinton head to Niflheim) and you’ll finally recruit Frore. Unfortunately you never get Kella. Head to Muspelheim now.
Muspelheim Item Shop: Quarts Amulet 7500 (+2 MP Regen) Studded Belt 12500 (+40 HP) Blue Bandana 12500 (+8 SKL) Blue Cape 12500 (+8 DEX) Blue Glasses 12500 (+8 ACC) Satin Scarf 12500 (+8 SPD) Silver Badge 12500 (+8 STR) Silver Ring 12500 (+8 MAG) Titanium Orb 12500 (+8 MDF) Titanium Bracer 12500 (+8 PDF) Brown Herb 40 (Heals 100 HP) Green Herb 5000 (Heals 500 HP) Silver Dust 120 (Heals 40 HP for entire party) Gold Dust 15000 (Heals 200 HP for entire party) Memento 12 (cures amensia) Antidote 20 (cures poison) Prism Lens 10 (cures blind) Voice Box 15 (cures silence) Energy Drink 18 (cures enfeeble)
Weapon Shop: Sharpen weapons to level 14
Armor Shop: Royal Robe 65000 (+17 PDF, +13 MDF, 10 WGT) Royal Coat 68000 (+36 PDF, 17 WGT) Royal Plate 75000 (+48 PDF, 25 WGT) Golden Helmet 22500 (+11 PDF, 6 WGT) Golden Hat 20000 (+8 PDF, 4 WGT) Golden Greaves 14000 (+8 PDF, 6 WGT) Golden Boots 11500 (+6 PDF, 3 WGT)
You can find Luther inside the INN. Agree to help him out and you’ll go on a quest to find the vampire. Also, this is the last of the blacksmiths to speak with. If you’ve brought Nikolai to all of the blacksmiths, this blacksmith will teach Nikolai. As a result, Nikolai will be able to sharpen your weapons to 15. Head north and enter the cave.
Nocturn Keep Enemies: Little Scarlet Wraith Ghoul Harbinger
There are four doors you can go through in this first area. Two at the top of stairs, two on the ground. Go through the door on the ground in the east. Collect the chest here and then through the door at the bottom of these stairs. Collect this chest and then head back through the two doors to return to the entrance way.
The other door on the ground and the door at the top of the stairs on the east side connect to each other. That leaves the door on the top of the stairs in the west. In this next room, go through the door in the center. Collect the chest here and then go back through the door. Head through the door in the west from here. In here, pass the center door and go through the door in the east for another chest. Head back and go through the center door. Collect the chest and go through the door west of you. Now head north until the scene.
Boss Fight Vanrushal Level 74 HP: 4500 STR: 345 MAG: 306 PDF: 211 MDF: 231 SPD: 249 ACC: 215 DEX: 215 Steal: Dark Matter
Unless he spams Dark Matter, he shouldn’t be too difficult. Keep your HP up and he’ll go down after a while. You receive a Darkshield and 110000 arns for defeating him.
After the battle, Luther and Vanrushal will join your army.
Return to Valduz now and finally talk to everybody in town. Talk to Avelion and accuse her of being the dragon. She’ll leave and open up Mt. Ea next to the town. Go there.
Mt. Ea Enemies: Deathgaze Paragon Chimaera Earth Worm
By now this place shouldn’t be too difficult; however, the boss could still be hard. At the fork, head west. At the next fork, head west again and go north for a chest. Head back and take the other path north. Another fork but ignore the north path and contiue east. Now another fork with a save crystal. Go east and take the chest. Return to the fork and go north. Watch the scene and prepare for battle.
Boss Fight Tiamat Level 66 HP: 3500 STR: 286 MAG: 244 PDF: 160 MDF: 160 SPD: 153 ACC: 150 DEX: 120 Steal: Lock
If you did this battle when you first could have, her attacks that deal between 200 to 400 damage to all party members would’ve made the battle extremely hard. Are you glad I told you to wait? You’ll receive a Black Dragonplate and 75000 ans for defeating her.
After the battle, watch the scene. Avelion keeps her promise and joins your army. Head to St. Reinard with her in your party. Enter the small house in the west side of town and talk to the man sitting down (Ice). Ice will join your army.
Head to Levier now. To the east of the town is a small mountain. You can actually enter it even though it doesn’t look like it.
Forgotten Cave Collect the two chests and then go talk to the guy in the back. Try to recruit him and you’ll be thrown into a boss fight.
Demilich Level 63 HP: 3333 STR: 194 MAG: 224 PDF: 124 MDF: 194 SPD: 147 ACC: 118 DEX: 133 Steal: Black-Green Cloak
He may look weak, but he will be able to instantly kill a single party member with SInkhole. You will receive Menu Set #3 and 66666 ans for defeating him.
After the battle, Sormaus will join your army. Now get Rorschach in your party and head to Ashton Port. Talk to the townsperson in the southeastern part in town to activate a scene. Talk to Yomiko to activate an event.
Shadow Clan Enemies: Shadow Assassin Shadow Clan Navar
You’ll immediately be thrown into a battle against 6 members of the Shadow Clan. They don’t have much life, but considering there are 6 of them and that they are fast and strong, the battle will be hard for someone who isn’t prepared. Random battles in this area will be more of these ninjas, so if you can’t beat this first group, you’re not ready for this area yet. Take note that there are two different types of ninjas. The Assassins have better stats and can also instantly kill a party member.
Anyways, save a separate file at the save crystal (especially if you’re barely able to beat the ninjas) and keep coming back here every now and then to save your game so you don’t lose anything. Head inside and head north for a chest. Head east and exit the building after the forced battle. Nothing but ninjas in the first building; a chest in the far east building. Head north through the path. Take the chest, save, and enter the building. After one more forced battle, it’s time for the boss.
Boss Fight Fu'kubei Level 83 HP: 2000 Steal: Nothing
I can only list what I have listed because this boss changes stats and element after you “kill” him. So technically, you could say he has 12000 HP. The secret to this battle is to use buffs. Pack on all of the buffs you can on one character and then Lock it in place. Move on to the next character and do the same thing. This will help protect you against most of his attacks until it wears out(although he will still have some strong attacks that you’ll have to remedy with healing spells. When you finally beat him, you receiveBattle Plan #18 and 200000 ans.
After the battle,Gilbert and Yomiko join your army and will be out on the world map. Shadow Clan is located just east of St. Reinard, btw.
Congratulations! If you have been following this guide completely, you now have every single possible recruit (including all of the mandatory recruits). Return to your castle just to double-check. You may have noticed that deep down in the dungeon of your castle there was a treasure chest that “needed the strength of 75 men” to open. Well, you now have 75 recruits, so you can go open that chest. Unfortunately, it’s nothing gamebreaking. All that the chest contains is Battle Plan #23.
Now it’s time to go take down those two demons. Finish preparing your troops (i.e. sharpen weapons, buy magics, buy armors, buy items, level up) and return to Nifl Woods. Remember, you will need 3 parties, but you should note that the first two groups are there to lose. It will help take down the demons if they’re strong, but it’s not necessary.
Nilf Woods Take note that Inspiration increases their stats, so these stats I have listed could possibly change. In fact, Demon Sick’s stats are incorrect because he used Inspiration before I could scan him. Anyways, first Yan Angwa’s group will face only Demon Trevor.
Boss Fight Demon Trevor Level 74 HP: 7000 STR: 329 MAG: 249 PDF: 236 MDF: 174 SPD: 220 ACC: 245 DEX: 172 Steal: Gold Badge
Next it’s Deus’s battle.
Demon Sick Level 74 HP: 6500 STR: 324 MAG: 299 PDF: 202 MDF: 264 SPD: 297 ACC: 244 DEX: 212 Steal: Gold Ring
And finally it’s time to battle them both together. Take note that if you stole from them, they won’t have an item to steal (or maybe they never had something to steal in the first place). Also, I’m not sure but their stats might be influenced by your previous battles against them.
Boss Fight Demon Trevor Level 74 HP: 3500/7000 STR: 286 MAG: 203 PDF: 226 MDF: 201 SPD: 180 ACC: 229 DEX: 161 Steal: Gold Badge or Nothing
Demon Sick Level 72 HP: 3250/6500 STR: 254 MAG: 233 PDF: 182 MDF: 243 SPD: 222 ACC: 207 DEX: 180 Steal: Gold Ring or Nothing
Once you finally finish these guys off, you’ll receive Dark Matter, Solar Flare, and 180000 ans.
After the battle, Sick and Trevor die and you’re back in your castle. Guess where you’re supposed to go. Before you reach there though, talk to Erin in her room for Battle Plan #19. (You may have been able to get this earlier. I just didn’t realize it.) On your way there, you run into Tarlia and Jovian. You are now supposed to go to the Almenga Border just north of Nilfheim. Once you’re at the border, there will be a scene and then you’ll be stuck in the Spiritual Plane.
Spiritual Plane Enemies: Non-Euclidian Horror Poltergeist Eyestalker Mara
There are two crystals in this starting spot: One to save and one to change party members. Head all the way south to find another crystal. When you touch this crystal, you are transported into another room that sort of looks like a reflection of this room. The controls are now backwards, so left is now right and up is now down. Aren’t you glad I have been referring everythin as east and west instead of right and left?
If you didn’t get one before, you can steal Raindow Ore from the Mara. You shouldn’t need it, but it’s available.
Head down the west path for a chest and then head through the northeast pathway. There will be another crystal that will lead to a short scene. The controls will be normal in this next area. There is a chest in the east and another crystal in the northwest. Once you go through the crystal, the controls will be backwards again for a short room. Head through the crystal in the north.
There is a save crystal right in front of you here. There is a hidden path just above the save crystal that could lead you to another crystal, but you are probably not ready for the optional boss there. Get the chest in the south as you make your way to the crystal in the west. Another scene.
Upside down again but the path is straightforward. The crystal on the east is the one that’s the save crystal.
Boss Fight Mephisto Level 77 HP: 4000 STR: 226 MAG: 327 PDF: 239 MDF: 272 SPD: 249 ACC: 226 DEX: 219 Steal: Checkered Robe
After all of the preporations you made for the Demons, this guy should be a piece of cake. You receive 175000 ans for defeating him.

After the fight, there will be some scenes and you’ll be out of the place. The save crystal there will bring you back to the Spiritual Planes whenever you want to head back for that optional boss. Head to Muspelheim and enter the building next to the INN Now go back to your castle Meeting Room is all I need to say. At night, go find Nashal in the top of the barracks (this probably could’ve done at any time but I just found out about it). After talking to her, find Eander in his room to continue. Next morning go talk to Yan Angwa, talk to Bruce for Battle Plan #3, and then go to the meeting room. Talk to Eander to start events that lead to the very last War Battle in the game.
War Battle 14 Watch out for Leonius’s. Regin’s, and Gudrun’s units. Other than that, there’s nothing special about this battle. This battle is actually pretty difficult. Gudrun’s unit was able to OHKO any of my units and by the time she got to me, I was already pretty weak. Seriously, by the time I finally beat her (which I’m sure was luck in itself), I was down to just 1 unit of archers and Daniel’s unit. About half of her units were left.
It’s now time for the final dungeon of the game. However, there are things you can do beforehand. head out into the world map.
World Map Enemies: Mustang Snow Tortoise
Not much to this last portion of Almenga. To the north is the capital, the west is Jotunheim, and the south is the border. Head to Jotunheim.
Jotunheim Magic Shop: Heal-All 32000 (Heals all allies) Solar Flare 25000 (Light damage to one enemy) Dark Matter 25000 (Dark damage spread over all enemies) Inferno 25000 (Fire damage to all enemies) Iceblast 25000 (Ice damage to a column) Aquabeam 25000 (Water damage to a row) Shockfield 25000 (Thunder damage to adjacent squares) Heal 7500 (Heals one ally)
There is a chest in the northeastern part of this town. That’s all that’s here (although if you do the Griver thing later, this town will have more meaning.)
Now, if you don’t want to do the optional bosses, skip down to the capital If not make sure you are really prepared for the optional bosses. These bosses are all over level 90 so you’ll want the best armor, level 15 weapons , many high level spells, and your level in the 80s or higher. The best place to gain these things is right inside the last dungeon. Don’t worry, as long as you stay in the first room, you’ll be fine. When ready, head back to the Spiritual Planes and go to through that hidden path I mentioned. This will lead you straight to a crystal and then straight down to a boss fight.
Boss Fight Hugin Level 90 HP: 6500 STR: 551 MAG: 413 PDF: 472 MDF: 358 SPD: 358 ACC: 342 DEX: 311 Steal: Asgard Plate
Munin Level 90 HP: 6500 STR: 500 MAG: 543 PDF: 354 MDF: 453 SPD: 429 ACC: 374 DEX: 366 Steal: Asgard Robe
Munin has slightly worse physical defense but Hugin’s Stomp is very deadly. It’s up to you which one you want to eliminate first. I personally took at Hugin first so that I was a little safer later on in the battle. You’ll receive Battle Plan #22 and 500000 Arn for defeating them.
After defeating them, go ahead and leave the planes. Since you’ve defeated them, you might be ready to take on the Shadow Bosses. Head to the Orphanage in Levier and talk to Eliza for Menu Set #8. Then go upstairs to Daniel’s room. Here you’ll find the Shadow Legionaires in random battle. They are really difficult so I decided to post their stats as well.
Shadow Legionaires Level 90 HP: 5000 STR: 374 MAG: 334 PDF: 374 MDF: 393 SPD: 354 ACC: 334 DEX: 334 Steal: Nothing
However, if you can make it to the person in the room before running into any of the random battles, you’ll find Shadow Daniel.
Boss Fight Shadow Daniel Level 90 HP: 10000 STR: 531 MAG: 512 PDF: 374 MDF: 531 SPD: 453 ACC: 374 DEX: 354 Steal: Nothing
He may look easier than what you’ve dealt with already, but his Heaven’s Gate could deal nearly 2000 damage to ALL of your characters if they aren’t protected by Blink. Pack on the buffs as fast as you can if you hope to survive. You’ll win Arch-Angel’s Halo and 999999 Arn for defeating him.
After the battle, you will be treated to some scenes and then it’s time to move on to the next one. Now, I’m not sure if you need the actual character with you when you go to the next shadow boss (I noticed when I got to Tarlia that I don’t need her with me to face Shadow Tarlia) but just in case you do, add Erin to your entourage or party. On a side note, add Ryan to your entourage (unless you want to use him in your party). Head to Matrech and go to where you first met Ryan. The door in the back can be opened if he’s with you and you can get Battle Plan #7. Now head to Erin’s office. You can find the same random enemies here and Shadow Erin is in the back.
Boss Fight Shadow Erin Level 90 HP: 12500 STR: 571 MAG: 374 PDF: 492 MDF: 393 SPD: 480 ACC: 393 DEX: 386 Steal: Nothing
Shadow Erin is different than Shadow Daniel. She has more HP and her attacks are more physical. Once again set up a wall of buffs quickly and keep yourself alive. You receive Boots of Hermes and 999999 Arn for defeating her.
After the battle, you’ll be given some more scenes to watch. Next it’s time to go find Shadow Eander. Make sure he’s in your party or Entourage and head to the Castle in St. Reinard. Inside the castle, head straight up until you reach the dark room.
Boss Fight Shadow Eander Level 90 HP: 15000 STR: 669 MAG: 453 PDF: 512 MDF: 413 SPD: 543 ACC: 393 DEX: 378 Steal: Nothing
So his stats are better than Erin’s thus making this battle more difficult, possibly. Except for one of his attacks, it seemed to me like he was weaker than Erin. Use the same strategy as the last fight. You win a Crystalline Crown and 999999 Arns.
After the battle, you’ll be treated to some more scenes and then it’s time to find the next Shadow Boss. Get Tarlia with you and head to Muspelheim. Go into the INN and go into the back to find Shadow Tarlia.
Boss Fight Shadow Tarlia Level 90 HP: 15000 STR: 689 MAG: 433 PDF: 630 MDF: 433 SPD: 531 ACC: 413 DEX: 354 Steal: Nothing
As usual, the stats are better than the last boss. Her spells can add status which could be bad for you at this point. Follow the same strategy and take her down. You receive Zeus Mail and 999999 Arn for defeating her.
There will be more scenes and then it’s time to go face Shadow Ljusalf. Head to Alfheim and go to the second floor of the INN to find him.
Boss Fight Shadow Ljusalf Level 90 HP: 20000 STR: 590 MAG: 590 PDF: 433 MDF: 551 SPD: 571 ACC: 354 DEX: 362 Steal: Nothing
Follow the same strategy you’ve been following. His physical defense is his weakspot so aim for that. His Water Spout can silence your character and Deep Blue can put you to sleep so watch out for that. Maybe I was lucky, but I found him to be the easiest of the Shadow Bosses. Just make sure you have plenty of Restores because he might be able to OHKO a single character with some of his spells. You receive Lord-Sorceror’s Gown and 999999 Arn for defeating him.
Another group of scenes and then it’s time to go after the final Shadow Boss: Shadow Yan Angwa. He is located where you finished off Trevor and Sick.
Boss Fight Shadow Yan Angwa Level 90 HP: 25000 STR: 709 MAG: 630 PDF: 512 MDF: 512 SPD: 630 ACC: 433 DEX: 374 Steal: Nothing
The last of the Shadow Bosses and the one with the best stats. You should know the drill by now with these shadow bosses. You receive Mashimizu’s Robe and 999999 Arns.
After the battle, there will be some more scenes. Now that all of the Shadow Bosses are done, there’s not too much else you can do. Head to Vanaheim, the capital ofAlmenga.
Vanaheim Enemies: Almenga Elite Almenga Colonel Almenga General Lightning Bolt Grand Conjurer Dracoknight Red Dracoknight Sirius Lux Starshine
If you took on the shadow bosses, this dungeon should be pretty easy for you. If you want to learn more background about some characters, bring Griver with you (entourage works as well). Tarlia also has a comment, but it’s nothing groundbreaking. Once inside take the eastern path through a door and into a straight path out into another room. In this room head east and south into a room for a chest. Back outside north is locked so go west. Pass through this room and continue west. In the next room ignore the first south and go through the second one for another chest. Now head back out of this room and head back east. Head north of the save crystal and into the next room. Time for a boss fight. Since this fight is one-on-one, I can’t post the stats for it. You receive Battle Plan #4 and 200000 arn for defeating the boss.
After the boss is defeating, head west, south, and west for a chest. Head back to where the boss fight was and head east, north, west, and north for another save crystal. Take either path south as they connect in the next room. West is locked so go east into another room. There are two chests south of you, an empty room east, and the path north that sends you west into the next room. West leads to a room that has a chest in the bottom and a locked door that will force you back into this room. Go south into the next room. East leads to a chest and west is the direction to head. In the next room, head north instead of east for another save crystal. Head west at the fork and head through the next room. Save at the crystal. Up ahead is the scene with Griver.
Boss Fight Gudrun Level 86 HP: 4000 STR: 446 MAG: 439 PDF: 343 MDF: 377 SPD: 350 ACC: 319 DEX: 219 Steal: Valkyrie Dress
Compared to the shadow bosses, this is a piece of cake. If you haven’t faced them, watch out for her ice attacks. Still, she shouldn’t be too much of a problem. You receive a Crystal Battlehelm and 250000 arn for defeating her.
After the fight you’ll see a scene if you have Griver with you. Afterwards head through the door. Go east and through the south door for a chest. Then head back and go through the door in the west. Head north in the next room and then in the room after go through the northeast to find a chest. Then go through the door in the southwest. In this room, head west and then west some more. On the west side of this room, there are two chests. Afterwards, head north. You’ll be at a save crystal. Head north for the final series of bosses of the game.
Boss Fight Brunhild Level 88 HP: 6000 STR: 478 MAG: 437 PDF: 360 MDF: 364 SPD: 525 ACC: 360 DEX: 327 Steal: Nothing
Nothing special about this fight. Her spells use status effects. You win a Purple Herb and nothing else for beating her.
After the fight there will be a scene where the last boss appears.
Boss Fight Hand of Fate Level 90 HP: 8000 STR: 531 MAG: 512 PDF: 382 MDF: 413 SPD: 480 ACC: 393 DEX: 354 Steal: Nothing
There are also Fingers of each color who have the same stats they are: Fingers Level 86 HP: 1500 STR: 408 MAG: 274 PDF: 274 MDF: 377 SPD: 171 ACC: 332 DEX: 219 Steal: Nothing
I really can’t suggest a decent strategy since the Shadow Bosses even made this battle easy. Each of the Fingers cast the strongest of their element to you and the Hand of Fate has some pretty strong attacks as well. Keep your HP up and take out the fingers quickly. Hand of Fate can also resurrect the Fingers. All you have to do is kill the Hand of Fate to win the battle, however.
Enjoy the scenes that play out because you have completed the game. There’s only 1 ending to the game, so it doesn’t matter how many characters you recruited.
